Hello world! We’ve been working on some exciting changes over here at Joy Proctor Design and thought a little reintroduction was in order! This is me, Joy! Founder and creative director of Joy Proctor Design. I was born in Swaziland and currently live in Portland, Oregon. I have planned and designed weddings for the last 12 years in incredible places including France, Bali, Thailand and Italy. My inspiration as a designer comes primarily from the history and culture of a place - designing work that honors the location is a privilege from which I derive great satisfaction. After having planned more than 400 weddings in my career, I have decided to phase planning out of our offerings so that my team and I can focus 100% on gorgeous, full service design. This means curation of beautiful and cohesive events dedicated to the perfection of all the important details, large and small. We look forward to collaborating with incredible wedding planners and other vendors worldwide to provide one of a kind design concepts with meticulous execution and production. Back from an incredible wedding in Lake Como, Italy and taking some time to slow down and reflect.
